Galeries Lafayette Champs Elysées
With the creation of TP France and a conversation going back to many years with BIG, I got TP involved in this prestigious Paris project seeing the rehabilitation of the former Banque de France building. The acoustic design input was creative with acoustic characteristics evolving as we progress through the building and get nearer the luxury products. We assisted BIG team on design aspects of the glass boxes and their sound diffusive characteristics or on the singular sound focusing dome in the central atrium. We provided also building acoustics and advice on the control of noise and vibration from building services.

Aspire Tower, Sports City, Doha
The Aspire Tower in the Sports City of Doha is a 300m high skyscraper designed by Hadi Simaan Architects and Arep (the French architect) and with Arup (the British engineers) as design team.
The structure is a mixed high-rise/tower structure and includes a reception area on two floors for 3000 guests, 3 floors for Sports museum, 17 floor five-star hotel, 3 floor Health Club with a cantilevered swimming pool (80m above ground on the 19th floor), revolving restaurant and observation deck about 240 meters above ground.
One of the acoustic design challenge was the stainless steel mesh, which could whistle during high winds. We performed wind tunnel and noise tests to anticipate the potential whistling issue.
