Concert Hall at Egypt Opera House
Egypt Opera House, the new 1,200-seat shoebox concert hall, inaugurated in 2022 by Riccardo Muti and the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra, is part of a larger 504,000 sq.m project that is set to elevate the arts and cultural experience in Egypt and stands as the largest of its kind in the Middle East.
The opera building alone contains five halls, including a main 2,150-seat Opera, a 1,200-seat concert hall and a 600-seat theatre.
The concert hall, designed as a shoebox also comprises an organ designed and installed by Orgelbau Klais. It comprises a variable acoustic system to reduce the reverberation time when used for amplified events.
